Description: – A typical art deco period Rosenthal porcelain vase decorated in the silver studios of Friedrich Deusch. It has an ornate floral design in silver overlay upon a very deep cobalt blue ground.  This item was probably a special commision to Deusch from Rosenthal. This pattern can also be seen with just enamels and not silver overlay. The silver is stamped 1000/1000 to the side of the rim on the underside of the vase (see images).

Size & Weight: –  The vase is 20cm tall and 18.5cm across the rim and the total weight is 730g.

Condition: – The fine Rosenthal Porcelain is in superb condition without any chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration. The pure silver overlay by Friedrich Deusch is without any losses to the body. Obviously aftet 80 years of care and attention there may be some slight micro scratches to the silver, which is quite normal for all aspects of silverware. Under the foot of the vase there is some wear to the silver overlay, this is due to general wear and tear and sliding / moving the vase for cleaning etc.

Photography: - Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful bowl & cover. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze.

History & Marks:– The Rosenthal porcelain marks are ones used in 1936. The Friedrich Deusch 1000/1000  silver marks which can be seen easily to the side rim under the base - see image.

Declaration:– This is original Rosenthal Porcelain from the time period described. The silver overlay is that from the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Deusch.
