Description: – A highly decorative Rosenthal Chippendale shape porcelain plaque decorated in the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Deusch. The turquoise blue body is adorned with an oriental bird in pure silver overlay and enamels. The plaque is 33.5cm across and the whole weighs 1015g. The Porcelain has marks for the 1940s
Size & Weight: – The Plaque is 33.5cm across the rim and weighs 1050g
Condition: – The porcelain has no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, losses or restoration. The silver is in great order without any losses to the body. Obviously after 80 years of care there are very minor surface scratches to the silver following those years of love, care and attention.
Photography: - Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful plaque. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze.
History & Marks:– This Rosenthal porcelain plaque has the porcelain mark used in 1940s. The Silver is stamped 1000 1000 to the rim. This plaque may have been a special commision from Rosenthal to be decorated in pure silver overlay. The reason I say this is because this pattern was also made in enamels only by Rosenthal.
Declaration:– This plaque is original Rosenthal German Porcelain from the time period described. The silver overlay is that from the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Deusch.
