Description: – An imposing very deep Cobalt Blue-Ground Hutschenreuther porcelain vase decorated in the silver studios of Friedrich Spahr with an organic modernist floral design in silver overlay. The silver stamped Spahr 1000 to the base rim. The Hutschenreuther porcelain marks used between 1948-70. The vase looks to be black but is a very deep cobalt.
Size & Weight: – The vase is 28cm tall & 11cm across the rim and weighs 1115g.
Condition: – The porcelain has no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, losses or restoration. The silver is in great order without any losses, Obviously after 70 years of care there are very minor surface scratches to the silver following years of love, care and attention.
Photography: - Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful vase. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze. As discussed this vase is a very deep Cobalt Blue and not black.
History & Marks:– The porcelain marks used between 1948-70. The silver is stamped Spahr 1000 to the lower base rim.
Declaration:– This is original Hutschenreuther porcelain from the time period described. The silver overlay is that from the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr. The vase is a very deep cobalt blue colour and not black.
