Description: – A very fine quality Art Deco period German porcelain vase (possibly Hutschenreuther porcelain). The rich blue ground has been exquisitely decorated with a stylised floral design in very thick silver overlay. The silver is further enhanced with fine engraving. The silver is stamped with an early Spahr 1000 10 mark to under the base,

Size & Weight: – The height is 11cm tall and 7cm wide and weighs 290g.

Condition: –  The blue body is in good order. There are very light surface scratches to the silver and there is a very miniscule loss of silver 1mm from edge of a flower, which is difficult to see but important to highlight.

Photography: - Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful vase. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze.

History & Marks:– The silver is from the Schwåbisch Gmünd Silver studios of Friedrich Spahr and is stamped with an early Spahr 1000 10 under the vase. Often we see early examples of Friedrich Spahr’s work with the silver covering the whole base as we see with this example. This makes it a little difficult to identify the maker of the porcelain. However, the important issue for us here is the delightful silver work conducted in Friedrich Spahrs Schwåbisch Gmünd Silver studios.

Declaration:– This is original German Porcelain from the time period described. The silver overlay is that from the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr.
