History & Marks:– Part of the marks on both pieces have been ground down and covered with a decorators wreath. Both the scene and border are known to have been produced by Berlin in the 18th century. Marks are often obliterated when the porcelain is decorated by hausemalers (blank porcelain purchased by private decorating studios from outside the factory), or for political /histoical reasons. The obliterated marks for 1849-70 period. Under strong light one could see the obliterated Pfenningmarke for1849-70
