Yates English Porcelain Cup & Saucer

Materials: –  English Porcelain Clay from Cornwall 

Country of Origin: – England 

Description: –A truly decorative and beautifully painted Staffordshire porcelain tea cup and saucer from the first quarter of the 19th Century. The Etruscan shaped cup and saucer are beautifully painted with large and bright summer flowers along with ornate classic gilding.

Size & Weight: – The cup is 6.5cm to tip of the handle (6cm) and 9.5cm across, the deep saucer is 15cm across and the whole weighs 275g.

Condition: –The cup and saucer ring true and have no chips, cracks losses or restoration. The gildinghas some very slight ware which one can expect on something 200 years old.

Photography:– As highlighted the porcelain is in excellent condition.  The slight discolouration and light spots seen on the body are  made in the photography and does not represent any changes to the body colour in reality. 

History & Marks:– The porcelain is unmarked but is a known shape and pattern of Yates Porcelain.

Declaration:– This cup and saucer are approximately 200 years old and is as described.
