A scarce and outstanding quality Dresden porcelain cup and saucer. The cobalt-blue ground exquisitely painted in the studios of Ambrosius Lamm with a scene of a courting couple dressed in period costume walking carefree hand in hand. The cup and saucer is further enriched with sumptuous raised gilt scrolls and cross hatching. The cup is beautifully gilded inside with an ornate open gilt flower on the base.

The vivid blue ground is beautifully gilded with images of men and women in period dress alternating with gilt trees.
