Condition: Excellent condition to both the cup & saucer: no chips cracks or restoration. The silver has no losses.

Size: The cup is 5cm tall & 7cm across the rim, the saucer is 11.5cm across. The silver stamped 1000 10 to the rim of the cup close to the handle.

A very fine and early Friedrich Spahr silver overlay cup and saucer. The porcelain blank by Ilmenauer Porzellanfabrik Graf von Henneberg A.G. (1930 until 1949). The burgundy ground cup & saucer have been decorated within the silver studio of Friedrich Spahr with a stylised floral design in thick silver overlay. The silver is further enhanced with fine engraving. The silver stamped Spahr 1000 10 to the top rim of the cup and 1000 is finely stamped to the back of the silver rim on the saucer.
