Friedrich Spahr: A large, impressive & vibrant modernist silver overlay vase

Date: Circa 1950

Condition: Excellent with no damages or restoration to the porcelain. No losses to the silver overlay.

A highly decorative and aesthetically pleasing German porcelain vase decorated by Friedrich Spahr with a stunning study of stylised flowers in enamels and silver overlay upon a black ground. The design repeats on the vase and the silver is marked Spahr 1000 to the rim of the base.  The vase is 30.5cm tall.
