A fine and scarce Hutschenreuther porcelain vase decorated in the silver studios of Friedrich Deusch., with scenes after Raymond Peynet, “Lovers”. The design is in silver overlay upon a green ground. The vase is 16cm tall & 7cm across the rim and weighs 425g. The silver stamped 1000 to the lower rim.
Raymond Peynet was born in Paris 1908 and became a celebrated cartoonist, illustrator, jewellery designer and did designs for Rosenthal and other porcelain and glass studios. He was awarded the arts and letters in Paris 1957 and Order of Merit in 1963.
