Description: – A delightful mustard ground vase decorated in the Schwäbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr.  The ground is decorated in pure silver overlay with a study of birds in a tree.

Size: – The vase is 15cm tall & 8.5cm across the rim and weighs 450g

Condition: – The porcelain vase and silver are in excellent condition without any, chips, cracks, restoration or losses. The silver may have micro scratches to the surface following 80 years of care and cleaning the vase.

History & Marks: – The silver is stamped Spahr 1000 to the lower aspect of the top rim. The porcelain company founded by Johann Haviland was first taken over by the Italian Richard-Ginori Group 1924/1925 and then sold to the Rosenthal group in 1936. It remained operational as Rosenthal subsidiary until its closure in 1978. The porcelain marks used between 1936 and 1978
