An extremely fine and uncommon baluster shaped Thomas Porcelain vase decorated in the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr. The vase is adorned with an exquisite and intricate floral design in thick silver overlay and enamels upon a black ground. The vase is 23cm tall & 7cm across the rim and weighs 480g. The silver is stamped Spahr 1000 to the lower aspect of the silver neck. The porcelain marks used between 1939-52.
