Materials: – Since the beginings of Meissen porcelain which can be dated back to experiments in 1708. The quality and production of Meissen porcelain has its beginnings in the manufactory’s own mine near the city of Meissen, where the purest kaolin is sourced day after day. This white clay is the key to the striking radiance of Meissen porcelain. The precise blending of kaolin with native feldspar and quartz has been refined in Meissen over the past 300 years and is still completed by hand to this day.

Description: – A truly delightful Meissen porcelain Mocca cup and saucer painted in polychrome enamels with the charming Chinese Dragon & Stork pattern. First Quality Marks

Size & Weight: – The cup is 5cm tall & 6.5cm across, the saucer is 10.5cm across. The weight is 135g

Condition: – The porcelain is in excellent condition without any chips, cracks or restoration. The gilding is also in very good order with no rubs.

Photography: -  Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful demitasse. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze.

History & Marks: The porcelain is marked with the standard First Quality Meissen crossed swords with pommels on the hilts. This indicates that this Mocca cup and saucer date from the 1850-1924 Period. Therefore, Circa 1900.   

Declaration: This Mocca cup and saucer are original Meissen porcelain from the time period described, the porcelain is First Quality and has no cancellation marks to either the cup or saucer..
